Moscow's annual Image Cartography Festival, the Circle of Light, was founded in 2011 and set the Guinness record for the world's largest projection in 2015. In September 2018, designers and experts of audio-visual art from all over the world creatively mapped projections to buildings that symbolized Russia, such as the Moscow Grand Theater, Moscow State University, etc., according to different themes. Buildings become the carrier of large color video projection. This is a visual feast. The three themes show the effects of different technology and art, bring people into different pictures, produce different mood, make people open their eyes and can not help but sigh the perfect integration of modern science and technology and art, marvel at the rich imagination, creative ability and team cooperation ability of artists, and feel the strong artistic atmosphere. On this vast stage, such a magnificent system is concentrated and highly reflects the perfect combination of science, art and humanities. One idea after another needs not only image thinking full of imagination creation, but also scientific and strict logical thinking. Through the "Circle of Light" Lantern Festival, I find that more and more new media artists combine video projection with others to create more works with rich and interesting audio-visual effects, and constantly open up a new road to light and shadow art.
